Led the development and support of Book Browse and iBrowse book preview platforms. Implemented libraries to facilitate page turning animations and creative assets into the product. Product performance was key to the success of this project.

Contributed to the on-going development and support of the Scene7 enterprise content platform. Applied design requirements and implemented new features and web services in accordance with multiple teams from within Adobe.

  • Integrated web services from a diverse set of sources through SOAP, REST and XML-RPC calls using Flex.

  • Developed engine to consume user created templates for dynamic media generation.

  • Created and extended libraries to integrate Flex with data services to access back-end data.


ADOBE SYSTEMS, INC., Seattle, WA 01/08 to 01/09

Solutions Architect - Contract

Engaged as a Flex Architect in driving Adobes Digital Publishing initiative. Responsible for architectural vision, design, and prototyping of e-book management tools utilizing Flex, Flash, Java, and MySQL servers. Focused effort on the utilization of the Cairngorm application framework and OOP to increasing developer extensibility.


Key Projects and Achievements

  • Developed an admin console for distribution with Adobe Content Server 4 to enterprise clients. Contributed code to internal Adobe teams through Perforce, Tomcat and MySQL servers. Product shipped November 2008.

  • Developed Flex e-book reading widget for industry leading distributors / publishers such as Barnes & Noble and Ingram Digital. Product integrated onto clients public websites and store fronts.

  • Created Flex application demonstrating pre-release features of Flash Player 10, TLE and the Text Component Library used at ADOBE MAX 2008/2009 conference in San Francisco, Milan and Tokyo. Release on Adobe Labs.

  • Created R&D application utilizing pre-release features of Flash Player 10, Adobe Share API and Text Component Library. This was the first e-book rendering application written entirely in Actionscript and planned as an open-source release.



BLUEFROG MEDIA, INC., Seattle, WA 07/05 to 12/07

Senior Solutions Architect

Steered design and architecture of new platforms as part of R&D efforts. Partnered with customers and management to map development plans aligned with existing and future business needs. Created architecture and managed product integration into legacy systems; served as intermediary through all stages of planning and development. Managed vendors and communicated status and challenges to C-Level leadership. Provided direction and training to a team of ten resources in a dynamic, Agile development environment.


Key Projects and Achievements

  • Designed and developed the companys flagship interactive television platform from the ground up. Allowed users to directly interact with satellite television content thorough mobile phones. Reached more than ten million households and served as a revenue stream for the affiliate station groups.

  • Leveraged Adobe Flex, Flash and Adobe Media Server products along with PHP, Java and MySQL. Built enterprise level content management, moderation and scheduling systems. Connected mobile data and streaming media through a diverse set of technologies.

  • Established the interactive TV division, including processes and supporting systems. Developed and documented enterprise-level processes and practices governing development, product integration, and system operations.

  • Served as a technical subject matter authority for planning development road maps and prioritizing initiatives.
