Contributed to the on-going development and support of the Scene7 enterprise content platform. Applied design requirements and implemented new features and web services in accordance with multiple teams from within Adobe. Platform utilized by: Amazon.com, William-Sonoma, Macy’s, Sears, QVC, Office Depot, Puma, JCPenny’s, Delta, Fila, Behr, Blockbuster, Ethan Allen, Hallmark, Harley-Davidson, and many others. Integrated web services from a diverse set of sources through SOAP, REST and XML-RPC calls using Flex. Developed engine to consume user created templates for dynamic media generation. Created and extended libraries to integrate Flex with data services to access back-end data.
Adobe Digital Editions
Adobe® Digital Editions software offers an engaging way to view and manage eBooks and other digital publications. Use it to download and purchase digital content, which can be read both online and offline. Transfer copy-protected eBooks from your personal computer to other computers or devices. Organize your eBooks into a custom library and annotate pages. Digital Editions also supports industry-standard eBook formats, including PDF/A and EPUB.
Helped test and launch Adobe Digital Editions with XD team. Fix bugs and consult on design of application.
Adobe Content Server 4
Adobe® Content Server 4 software is a robust server solution that digitally protects PDF and reflowable EPUB eBooks for Adobe Digital Editions software and supported mobile devices, including the E Ink, smartphones, and tablet devices. Easy to integrate into existing systems using industry-standard technologies, Content Server 4 allows you to host and manage eBooks on your existing infrastructure.
To serve as an internal Adobe QE tool for testing ACS4 services during development and as a technical reference tool to help IT staff assess and implement ACS4 server in their own infrastructure. Provide source code that operators can reference when creating their own tools. Serve as a sales tool to aid in illustrating the features of ACS4. The project was designed and completed by myself and one other developer. Collaborated with the ACS4 team regarding all aspects of the tool. We utilized Adobe's source code repository to replicate the ACS4 project on a Tomcat server throughout the project to test and develop against. Built entirely in Flex 2 with the Cairngorm framework to consume ACS4’s web services. Shipped with ACS4 in November 2008.
